Week 2 | If there's a will, there's a [nor]way

mostly photos and a few words about what we are doing, seeing, eating, and everything else in between...
07/14/2024 - 7/20/2024

Yes, we have posted this photo multiple times. No, we will never get tired of it. It was a true #ShotOniPhone moment
There was something so special about seeing the clouds creep through the mountains on the left. The sun perfectly center, shining its rays through mountain peaks, and the endless coast line on the right
A moment of peace, beauty, and wonder that captivates you and makes it hard to say goodbye to the Lofoten Islands.
It was time for us to journey back to the southern side of Norway...with a few chuckles along the way
Tyler was thrilled to find scones in Trondheim.
And Makenna started counting waterfalls as we headed out for our 6-day Bergen roadtrip
Bergen was a moody port town, with a seafood market, and very large crabs.
We followed the advice of the blogs and got a seafood dinner one night, but unfortunately got seated right behind this crab tank. The eye contact was intense and Makenna's meal was untouched when we left.
Our research told us Bakkanosi was a must do hike, and the locals we had mentioned this to agreed. Our research failed to remember the 10.8 miles we would need to hike and the many locals that would pass us along the way.
We passed a lot sheep along the way. If anyone thought sheep are nice and cuddly, turns out these Norwegians ones were not. This was captured about 10 seconds before they started charging us and was the last sheep picture taken.
Our pre mood hike was high, snacks in hand.
But post hike exhaustion was real. Turns out cinnamon rolls don't work as well as protein bars.
A much needed sauna to recover from our back to back hikes...
...and a cold plunge in the fjord
